Our friends are having babies!!! Katie had a little girl on Tuesday morning, Michaela. Phil & Mel had a little girl on Tuesday night ("yet to be named", reminds me of "She Who Must Be Obeyed") and we got a message last night that Craig & Debbie are pregnant, due in November. Wow, we are "growing" (like Gareth says).
This morning Timothy informed me that he has two brothers - one called Matthew and the "other in the belly". Does he know something I don't? Or perhaps he has only experienced a "brother". They were "interracting" rather loudly and hysterically in the car this morning (trying to catch each other's hands across the "gap" btn their seats), when Tim said "Matthew, stay on your side". Suddenly he does pronouns, and using them correctly. Oh, and full sentences. He certainly takes us by surprise. Matthew has a memory like an elephant, which is sometimes helpful (like, "remind mom to give you *whatever* when we get home") and other times not (he wants "new trucks" at Nana & Bap's house every morning BEFORE breakfast!) Matt has an excellent memory of things done at school. Ali tells me often that he remembers stuff before most other kids (& he's actually the youngest!!). Like "rhythm sticks" (says it beautifully, we're working on his spelling) and names of animals (he can tell the difference between a cheetah & a leopard, can you?)
We had a superb day yesterday (holiday). G went canoeing early, to catch the good weather before the Easterly came up, and then took the boys to the beach. I'm still flu-ey, so stayed at home, scrapbooking. Finished an album for Katie's little girl, with the most BEAUTIFUL Australian-made paper (thanks Kath). Love it. The boys slept for 3 hours (including Matthew!!! he woke, but fell asleep again watching Dr Phil & Dr Feel, Oprah's guru meets the muppets). Then Em took them on an "adventure"... to the deck to check the surf, to the touchfarm to feed the ducks (& get fed treats by kind lady there) and then to the "PUB" (see Sheldon, who's the "dad" of "Bazil the lamb", who they have yet to meet). So we had a long break. Then they watched Shrek (are we teaching them that farting in a mud bath is acceptable behaviour?) Good day in all.
This morning, Emma signs an offer on the little house in Glen Navar. I understand Kath's coming in halvies, and Mom & I are helping out too (with transfer fees = R21,000!!!) They have an offer already, but these people have until *whenever* (14th May?) to come up with the money. Will be a disappointment, but what will be, will be... ne?
OK, signing off now... really must get to some work!!! Thinking of you all (esp you in the Drakensburg, Dad... how wonderful!) Still have to figure out posting photos... something to do with www.hello.com (haven't quite figured it yet).

First Ramblings
Let the blogging begin... OK, I've joined the bandwagon. Me thinks a good way to stay in touch with Kath, Sean, Susan and Dad... keep you guys updated on the goings-on in this household. And perhaps exchange news with some faraway friends (Phil'nMel).
What's new? "Junior" (18wks) is moving a lot now, and is reminding me when I have a full bladder! I'm feeling much stronger now (when I never thought it would end), but still struggling to get rid of flu (it's been more than 8 weeks now, on&off!!) I've got a Sportron product that's supposed to boost your immune system, so perhaps that'll help in a few weeks. The boys are terrific and terrible at the same time (well, at different times...) They're a real challenge, with all their fighting. Don't know if it's competition or attention or both. We're always trying new things (smacking just doesn't work! and it's tiring, anyway). We've started a "star" system with Matt's sleeping, and that's helping. We've had 4 good nights out of 7, good start. Wednesday's a public holiday, so we'll start prepping the nursary for "junior"... Yellow, it is.
More exciting news... Em's looking at buying a property at Glen Navar. A tiny little place, but good value! Let's hope the banks recognise her meagre teacher's salary! Hold thumbs.
Once I figure out how to post pics, I'll do it. Just lost some text trying it. So perhaps later!
